Hard-wearing hunting backpack

After a long search, I decided on this backpack despite the lack of reviews. Love the fact that it has detachable saddlebags, is waterproof, and is reasonably priced. The leash is a nice bonus. It arrived today and appears to be well made. As you would expect the straps were stiff so it took me some time to adjust all the straps properly. Surprisingly, my dog didn't resist when I put it on her and adjusted it. A little background on my dog: He weighs 80 pounds and gets too excited to walk. Because of this, he spends most of his time walking in our yard instead of walking on a leash. I read an article stating that working dogs love a job and that a backpack can fill that need. I believe after a single use! We put a brick on each side to add weight and the backpack didn't slip when walking. He even ran a short distance without changing gears. He seemed happy and less stressed than usual on the leash. The only potential problem I've noticed with the backpack is that my dog had bent the latch on one of the saddlebags when he caught her at the door and tried to get out before the door was fully open (note: this happened with some force with its sides). Like I said, he's too excited about running. I was able to pry the fastener off, but worst case scenario I just go to the hardware store and buy stainless steel fasteners to replace them. The fabric held up well even when it got stuck on the door. I have read some reviews on other products where the packs are torn on first use. My dog definitely checked out this bag as he walked out the door and the fabric stayed strong. I'm used to products that aren't as strong as they look or say they are, but I can see that we're getting a lot of value out of this packaging. Now I can't wait to go hiking in the mountains with my dog! This time he can carry his own food and water with big bags.
