More than enough to completely fill a tray and replace half with fresh biomedium at least once a year. There is no biostarter, so make sure to use your already installed biocarrier along with this one to get things going initially. The ratio is half and half. Then, after a couple of months, remove the old biocarriers and fill the rest with this product. After that, once a year only half of the media is exchanged for a new one and the old one is thrown away. Always make sure you ONLY use water from the reservoir when cleaning your pump to avoid killing the installed biocarrier. Therefore, do not wash sponges or biological media with anything other than aquarium water. Just use the water you remove during a water change and perform filter maintenance at that time.
