As much as my husband hates watching me cut fabric with a trimmer, this is a Christmas present from him. This is the best and safest I've ever used. Now I realized that the one I bought a few years ago, albeit a brand name, was wobbly, scary, with a hard-to-replace blade, and not that secure. Olfa is durable, straight, well made and comfortable. It can be used with both left and right hands and does not migrate. I also got an Olfa cutting mat which makes cutting even better. Whether curved or straight, it says so directly on the label.
