Review on Measure Your Tire Pressure With Precision: FOVAL'S Digital Tire Pressure Gauge For Cars At 150 PSI by Robert Mulrooney

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not bad as a safety gadget, but not as a tire pressure meter.

If it hadn't been on sale, so that the cost was very low, I would return it. As it is, it is not worth the postage to return it. The gadget works as described, but has a few flaws. The biggest complaint I have is that the backlight on the meter goes out in a few seconds, so that the meter is very hard to read unless you are in bright light. There is a switch to turn it on, which also turns on the backlight, but if you hit the switch again, trying to get the light to go again, the meter changes the format that it is reading. I want PSI, and have no use for the other formats. Also, it should have a way to release some air from the tire as it reads the prressure if you wish. If the tire is over inflated you must take the cover off of the window breaker, and use that to release air, then try the meter again. There are two lights on the heater. The flashlight is useful, but I am not sure what the red led is for. No matter, neither light points to the tire valve that you are working on.I haven't tried the Seat belt cutter and the glass breaker, and I hope I never have to, but they seem adequateSome day I will find a tire meter that does the job well and fits in the glove box. Or else I will have to move to a state where the gas station attendants check your oil, water, and air.

Pros
  • The gauge is versatile, allowing you to use it for a wide range of different applications
Cons
  • Gauge may not work in high altitude areas
