Review on 🚨 BASU eAlarm Plus: Powerful 130db Emergency Alarm for Camping & Hiking | Tripwire, Bear & Perimeter Alarm by John Patterson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Too much force is required to loosen end cap

Very Loud. However, I bought it to use as a camp perimeter alarm and unfortunately it doesn't work for me. When I mount it between the tent poles, it takes too much force to loosen the alarm connector. It is not sensitive enough when using a cord back. I'm guessing it takes 5 pounds of pulling to loosen the end cap. The trip line was stretched too far and the tent pegs broke out of the ground and the alarm didn't work. Maybe if I use solid wires and attach them to the trees he can deactivate and activate the alarm. It might work if bears hit the wire, but something smaller like raccoons probably won't. The alarm goes off for 30 minutes which is way too long but if it could be set to 2 minutes, 5 minutes etc it would be longer. useful. Waterproof? I am not sure. I hope to return it and stick with the window alarm, much cheaper.
