Review on 🐦 Large Stainless Steel Bird Mirror by Colorday by Bobby Chandler

Big birds are SMART and have the power to lift and destroy! I expected it to be securely attached to the cage. This means that not only does the mirror need to be screwed on, but the back of the mirror/rope needs to be attached as well. Otherwise my bird will find a way to get him down! With two rounded hooks on top of the pole, my bird will rip it off! I bought a LARGE one for my gray parrot just to make sure it was made for a small cage with bars if you want it fixed! As you can see from the photos it is impossible to attach the bottom of this cage to my cage! Big birds need big cages, and the bars are spaced farther apart and much thicker than in a small bird cage. This is a design error by this manufacturer! The only thing this mirror does is fit onto the rod at the top of the mirror. There are no screws or latches. Can I take industrial pliers and try to press the top rounded hooks onto the cage? May be. But even if it worked I would be stuck and unable to move or remove easily for cleaning so I won't try. Very disappointed! This is NOT for big birds! And it's hard! Remember: if you have several large birds in the same cage and it should get knocked down and hit, you probably have a dead bird! This manufacturer has to lengthen the threads on the sections of rope and include extra large washers to allow this mirror to be attached at all four corners! It also needs to be installed with two or three holes, not just one, as different cage bars are positioned differently. In my Hahns Macw cage, the metal bar post meets the crossbar so it doesn't lay flat! When I elevate the mirror so that it lays flat, the top hooks don't touch the pole (see photo). So be aware that this may not fit without modification. For smaller birds I probably wouldn't worry as much as this mirror doesn't have a solid base and bottom because it's heavy and unlikely a small bird could knock it over. But if you have a medium to large intelligent bird, I advise you not to use it as is! I'll try to buy bigger shims and hope it works in my gray cage.
