Review on πŸͺ’ Remington Smooth & Silky Facial Trimmer for Women, Precision Detail Trimmer MPT3800SSF by Gina Abbott

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Poor design but no trimmer to compare

I have used versions of this trimmer for many years. The first two or three I bought were great. The head can be disassembled and clogged hair can be removed. They worked until the blade became dull. After adding an unnecessary whirl to the product, the quality of the mechanisms dropped dramatically. I've found that the positive end of the battery doesn't usually (100% of the time) touch the contact, so I need to find something to bend it with. Dismantling and cleaning the swivel nozzle always ends with the device never working properly again. Of the last four packs I've bought from Revain, the first lasted about 6 months when used twice a week for three to five minutes to remove nose and ear hair. Only. The second of four stopped working after two or three uses, period. The third one NEVER started. Now I'm on the fourth and last, for about a month. Remington had a great design and the design intent appears to be the only one on the market. I particularly like the short set of blades versus the long blade. I understand that these trimmers can't last forever, but can't they work right out of the box and last as long as the blades are sharp? Remington, if you are reading this, please do not take the last sentence as a request to downgrade your blades.
