I installed the light a couple months ago and have been riding a few times a week since. I just leave it in auto mode and never touch it (it starts flashing when the bike moves unless it's bright outside, and it comes on brightly when the bike slows down), and the battery is still shows 3 out of 4 for charge.The flashing mode doesn't seem very bright, even considering that it's designed for use only after dark. I haven't explored the different modes to see if there's a brighter flashing mode.Installation was initially confusing because the brackets that are supposed to slide when the bolts are loosened weren't sliding, so I couldn't make the light fit over the seat rails. It turns out some paint was keeping the bolts from sliding, so after simply forcing the bolts to slide and break off the paint inside the brackets I was able to easily mount the light.
