Update (1 star) - 7/26/18: MONTH after I posted my year in review I'm still having trouble with your power bricks. An electrician came to me and surveyed/checked the outlets, thinking all the problems I was having were with the outlets. You have a clean medical certificate; the voltage in the house is stable, the sockets are less than 2 years old and the switch itself is heavily loaded. I really like these light kits and really wanted them to work, but the power blocks are the key downside of this product. The power supplies that come with the kit, as well as those sold separately, are just plain bad. They fall out after about a month. I have a thread that shows no problems, but it's hooked up to a second power supply, so I doubt it'll last long. Notably, out of 6: 2 units were on all the time (security lighting in basement), 3 were used sparingly, and 1 unit was only on about once a week (garage use). The least used one lasted the longest despite being in an uninsulated garage. ------------------------------------------------ -- - Initial Review (4 Stars) - 06/26/18: While on a vendetta to convert my house from incandescent/fluorescent to full LED, I came across these as a solution that required no drilling under the cabinet. Brackets - that was great. I bought 6 of these around March 20, 2017. To date (June 26, 2018) I have had issues with 3/6 of the sets, all affecting the power cord. They appear to be failing (no signs of problems, brick not hot, failed after power outage, etc.) resulting in flickering or flashing of the entire filament. It's interesting to note that unplugging 1 or 2 LED strips at the end sometimes solves the problem, but replacing the connector completely fixes the problem with ALL strands. So if anyone is having these issues, try replacing the power supply. All of my lighting fixtures are hooked up to surge protectors and used on demand (i.e. not constantly). They sell power supplies for $7.99 each, but after spending almost $250, another $24 a year and 3 months after purchase. bothers her a little. I love this product and the flexibility it offers, but due to issues with 3 out of 6 different power supplies I'm deducting a star - half of my power components are bad. The light strips themselves are fine; which was confirmed by replacing the flicker strip power cords with cords from known working sets and no problems were encountered. All in all a decent product - 3M adhesive gets strong after 15 months of installation and extra cables give installation flexibility; I just wish the power cords/bricks were more reliable as 50% of mine broke after 13-15 months.
