I'm not sure if it's genetic or something, but for some reason, by the time they're about 8 years old, most boys seem to actually refuse to wear pants, no matter how cold it gets. Growing up we just didn't have a choice, but oh well. Long story short (huh, see what I made there?) Our son loves his shorts, and while he's in the process of giving up his pants, at least he looks good. We love her almost as much as he does.
