One night the bedroom window was open and it was raining, unfortunately the remote for my fan got wet and couldn't control the fan. I have a Regina DC fan where I replaced the incandescent bulbs with LEDs. The fan stayed on and couldn't turn it off, nor did the remote turn on the light. So I turned the switch off and when I turned it back on the fan stopped but the light was on and I couldn't control it. It was worth a try seeing this product for $20. Had the same timer function and breeze function. Simply replace the old receiver in the fan and connect it. Same construction, hot and neutral wires supply power to the fan and blue, white and black. Power turned on and the fan immediately connected to the remote control. Binding was not necessary. So that saved me another $200 fan by just swapping out the receiver and remote. Works perfectly
