I bought these because I wanted to be sustainable and hopefully save money in the long run. Turns out (as others have said) they clean better than disposable Swiffer pads. They scrape more dirt and such off the floor and definitely catch more hair, crumbs and other particles as the Swiffer moves towards me. The only potential downside I see is that the terry cloth floor creates more friction with the floor so it kind of grabs or holds on when you push, which makes my shoulders work harder. (At the same time, this seems to be why they clean better than disposable pads.) As such, I wouldn't recommend them for seniors (let's say 70+) or people with shoulder or back issues (washable microfiber pads might be easier to wash ). . . ). press, although I assume they are not allowed to rub). However, I don't have a lot of upper body strength and traction is not an issue for me.
