These are really nice light weight slippers but they smell very strongly of plastic production. I think it's the foam insert. and after wearing them for a few hours, the smell penetrated my socks and even the skin of my legs. My feet smelled like insoles even after washing them. I am concerned about this. It's been a few weeks and they still smell as bad as when I opened them. Also, I really expected them to come in a shoe box like most shoes. but they were only in a plastic bag, which struck me as very odd. I hope that one day the smell will go away. If that ever happens, they'll be my gardening shoes.
