Review on 7 Quart DIJA Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven - Nonstick Round Pot With Lid, Side Handles And Mat For Home Baking, Braiser, Cooking In Red by Matthew Owens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic Dutch oven that you'll have for years

I have a few other, similar Dutch ovens - all made of cast iron and enameled like this one. One particular from Lodge which I love, but it is a 5 quart.I needed a bigger one, so when I saw this for 7 quarts, I decided to give it a shot.Happy to say after dozens of uses, its working and holding up perfectly well. This is a very solid, high-quality Dutch oven. I have zero complaints, and everyone always compliments/notices it thanks to the popping red color. The enamel in particular is proving very durable. It has been in an oven from low temps all the way to 400 and even 425 and barely shows any signs of use on the inside (which is due to people being too rough with some utensils, but hey, it'll happen). The outside, though, is still 100% like new!Note I don't put these in the dishwasher, so I always handwash anything like this - cast iron, enamel coated or not - definitely getting handwashed. Fortunately, they make for very easy cleaning. And for being $50? This is a steal. It'll last many years, plus it would make for a fantastic gift to anyone who enjoys cooking.
