Didn't check dimensions before ordering. I was expecting something like 3 inches wide and 5 inches long. no The thing is huge! That's what Lois said. I found this out because I have 4 shrimp tanks and thought it would be a good way. It was also equipped with hoses, air vents and backwash protection. This reminded me that I need to buy another backwash protector for Meg. I plugged it in and it works fine. Couldn't be happier. I'll update if I run into any problems, but for $25 if it lasts a year I'll have a beer with the guys at Drunken Clam.
