This material is overpriced and almost useless. I've been buying this for years and think it's the recommended coffee maker filter and the only thing that works with it. Just today we installed an APEC reverse osmosis system in our kitchen. We also bought a TDS meter to check the water concentration and make sure the filter was working. Out of curiosity, I tested this filter. Here are the results that prove you can't afford that money. Water straight from the tap (Hetch Hechy Water Reservoir) - 85ppm water through Brita filter - 58ppm water through this Jura filter - 73ppm. Water through our Apec reverse osmosis system - 8ppm. what do you see here This filter barely works and I doubt it removes anything critical. You might as well fill your coffee maker with a Brita jug and skip this one. As long as you clean your car with pills, you will be fine.
