Ensures bowl consistency and prevents build-up

Not sure why these filters are so expensive? Apart from the shape, it does not differ from the Brita filter, which is significantly cheaper. However, it does help to brew a cup of consistent and quality coffee, and Jura ena micro 90 is free of mineral deposits.

Pros
  • Consistent test results

  • Some cons

Why bother? the best in water filtration and softening

This is a financial success for Yura. After installing a new filter, the idiot indicator didn't reset, a visual reminder that I wasted my money, but the coffee maker wouldn't work without it. We use water from our R/O system that exceeds the minimum contact time of the Jura filter. Not worth much.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Periodicity

Works as it should. nothing more to say

OEM replacement. It fits perfectly and filters the water. Quite expensive which is why we typically use our filters for two cycles rather than swapping them out when Yura indicates it's time to change the filter. We've had a coffee maker for about three years and I don't think we're having any impact - we have very clean water where I live so that helps.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Helps make a good cup of coffee

I didn't like the fact that I had to use them on my new Jura A1 coffee maker, which increases the price of each cup of coffee I have do at home. Either this filter was used or the machine had to be descaled frequently. I hated the descaling process so I chose this water filter. It was easy to install, easy to swap out, and likely makes for a very tasty cup of coffee. I think it's worth it.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other nozzles

Not as advertised in Kitchen & Bath Plumbing

The picture shows a Clearyl Blue water filter. What they send is a Claris filter with a note trying to explain that the Claris is an EU filter and identical to the US filter. This is absolutely wrong. I called Yura to ask which one to use with my car. They said "Claris is an old version, we recommend Clearyl for your car." So if you need Clearyl, this filter is not for you. They either misinform us or mislead us

Exact Jura recommended replacement

This is an exact factory replacement for my Jura C60 espresso machine. I wouldn't trust anything else as I've read horror stories of 'looking' fakes cracking, leaking or shattering in a container of water. I also don't want to risk my car having to be repaired or replaced at great expense because I didn't use an original Jura Cleararyl filter. I not only look at the number of positive reviews about fakes, I also read the negative ones. It's not worth the risk. The other issue is that where I…

May not be Clearyl Filter 71445

I ordered Jura Clearyl 71445 filters but got Claris blue filters instead. I know both fit in my car and I've used both, but if I wanted to use a Claris filter I would save a few bucks and just order a Claris filter. Other than that, I don't really know the difference between the two, other than that Jura support told me that the Claris blue filter doesn't work in my J80. I'm guessing the guy was just covering up to not hold me liable by demanding a fix if my coffee maker fails. I don't blame…

This stuff is too expensive and mostly useless.

This material is overpriced and almost useless. I've been buying this for years and think it's the recommended coffee maker filter and the only thing that works with it. Just today we installed an APEC reverse osmosis system in our kitchen. We also bought a TDS meter to check the water concentration and make sure the filter was working. Out of curiosity, I tested this filter. Here are the results that prove you can't afford that money. Water straight from the tap (Hetch Hechy Water Reservoir) -

Ignore the hint that you don't need to descale when using them!

I have had a Jura Z7 for about 3 years and regularly perform all necessary maintenance on the machine including cleaning and replacing filters. I have always used these original filters. I live in an area with very good water quality, the water quality is below 100ppm. Everything I've read said I don't need to descale if I use them regularly. Not true! This weekend my machine unexpectedly started a coffee brewing cycle, but nothing came out of the spout and water, and the dry coffee grounds…
