Review on M D Building Products Bottom Replacement by Nathan Jones

QUICK INSTALLATION: Sills

(This was my second purchase of this brand, used on another door a year and a half ago). Entrance door 32 inches. It's easy to saw off 4 inches and then snip off the ribs with scissors. One side inserts easily into the cut, the other inserts nicely with a little persuasion with a paint stirrer, tapping with a hammer. "I'm a 72 year old female and was able to easily replace a worn floor. Some say they managed without removing the door. I only suggest this if your door is a foot and a half off the floor. ( Unlikely .) My old ones were nailed in and with the new bottoms the normal gap didn't allow for a bit of a knock. Also, one of the fins was bent in shipping, so I used my hair dryer with a stick along the fin to heat and smooth the fin , then after the bend is removed give it a puff of cool air while the paint is still behind to support it. Helped. If your door feels too loose or too tight the sill can be adjusted with the built in screws be adjusted up or down.
