The carbon steel blades are super sharp!
Love this blade sharpener! I was looking for a convex blade sharpener as the best swords and knives have a convex edge. I have high-carbon bluesteel cold knives. That's very expensive. I have an original ODA knife. This sharpener sharpened my old high carbon CS ODA San Mai knives and created a great edge. I also highly recommend using ceramic steel for raised edges. If you use this and ceramic, WOW! You have a very sharp knife! I can't say enough good things about this pencil sharpener. Highly recommended!
