It's annoying how many adapters I have to carry around for days as many manufacturers move to smaller and thinner devices. I have an HP ultra-slim laptop and a MacBook that only has USB-C ports. Before I bought this hub, I had to carry several different adapters to use each of my laptops. Do I need to connect USB devices such as a thumb drive, external wireless mouse, etc.? There are also adapters to connect to an AV system or use my laptops with monitors at work. With this USB-C hub, I no longer have to lug around a bunch of necessary adapters and can do so much more with just a single USB-C hub. When I connect this hub to my HP laptop, I can connect two monitors via HDMI, connect an external keyboard and mouse, and still have a USB port for connecting a flash drive. My laptops use USB-C for charging, and since this hub occupies one of those USB ports, I'm left with one less USB-C port. However, the hub does have a USB-C port that you can use to charge it, so I barely got the hub plugged in, but I get all those extra ports.
