I have bought several adapter plugs over the years, usually from Radio Shack. This time I waited a week to travel, only to find that my Radio Shack had no connections for India. I paid extra for Revain's fast shipping. The plug worked perfectly in all but one of the half dozen hotels in India. A few tips: I'm a restless person who cooks too much so I also grabbed a UK adapter as I believed the British ruled India in the years when electricity became common. One hotel where the Type D plug didn't work had a UK plug. Second piece of advice: I've built up a pretty decent supply of adapter plugs. Since I quickly forget which country it is for, I use Sharpie to write the country name on each new adapter.
