So my wife ate some icy slush, call it what you will. And she found plastic in her mouth. We looked into the cup, there was more in it. Examined the machine and saw that the blade was set at an angle causing it to sink low and scratching the plastic as it worked. This was easy to fix with a screwdriver, but it's worth messing around with. The rest of the machine works perfectly. Spins easily and cuts ice fairly finely. The snow cone isn't small, but we're happy with the results.
