Welcome to 2020 to Neon Accent Lights

You can install it in 10 minutes if you don't mind messy work with wires showing and dangling. But I decided to spend about 2 hours installing it nicely: - Removed plastic cover for the center console - Control unit secured with a screw and cable tie under the plastic, out of sight - Antenna moved to an open storage compartment where the signal from the remote control - Charging plug relocated to a storage compartment where it can be plugged in or stored - Short wires for the front lights routed under the dashboard - Long wires for the tail lights routed to the rear seats - Heat the glue with a hair dryer and the front lights on the plastic under the instrument panel. Using a needle and thread, I attached the rear lights under the front seats in the area of the rear passengers' legs. After that, only the installation cables are visible - a short distance under the rear seats. I had to leave some slack there to allow the front seats to move back and forth. The glue worked well on one side but not so well on the other. I will attach paperclips to further secure it and after that it should be 100% secure. The tail light needle and thread method was more reliable for attaching the light strips to the fabric. The thing works! You can control it remotely from the back seat by pointing the remote at the center of the dashboard. The remote control is labeled well enough for a 5 year old to recognize. The lighting is bright but can be dimmed with the remote control if you wish to dim it. It can output a constant color, it can change from 3 or 7 colors, it can fade or flash depending on the music with multiple modes from soft to aggressive. At $15 it's a steal. The grown-up in me felt proud of a well-executed 2-hour DIY project. The teen in me grins as he plays '90s hits under strobe lights while driving his box home from the office. My kid thinks that's the best thing about my car. You might want to consider some of the more advanced models that don't require pointing the remote at the antenna. I don't think it's necessary. We have incredible bodies and minds that can hunt mammoths, control fire, make tools, design cars and invent semiconductors, and yet we can't point a remote control at the center console? Just do it, move your hand, be proud to be human. when you're driving a car someone else designed, filling up on hundred-million-year-old dinosaur dung and looking at the blinking solid-state lights that don't really do anything useful, haha.
