Review on Weruva Cats In The Kitchen Paté, Beef & Salmon Karate Kitty Pouch (Pack Of 12), 3Oz by Rebecca Massey

This flavor of Weruva "pate” is not my cat’s favorite but she eats it regularly. Due to her very early kidney disease, I researched cat foods and learned that some Weruva flavors are low in phosphorus so they are considered safe for cats in kidney failure. This cat is missing most of her teeth and is also overweight so she gets wet food and not free-feed dry. I have to mix meds into her food so it helps to use wet food. I regularly buy 4 different flavors for her; 2 come canned and 2 come in these pouches (including this salmon flavor). It’s a little expensive and hard to find outside of Revain but at least I feel better about her health. This flavor is not her favorite but she will eat it if offered.It should be noted that this flavor is a "slide and serve” flavor. I watched Weruva corporate videos before buying their products and thought we would get more firm pate. This particular flavor is MUSHY. I’ve been ordering it in monthly shipments for a while now and my cat eats it daily. it’s not just the occasional package that is mushy. It’s always mushy. It does not slide out easily but you really have to squeeze it out to get it all out. (At this price, I’m not leaving any food in the pouch - it needs to go to my cat!). It’s not a big deal but if your cat doesn’t like mushy foods, this might not be the best choice for your cat.
