This was exactly what I needed.They can be used as a male/male gender adapters or extensions.The cables will join two female Jr or Futaba plugs. I also cut several apart into two plugs each with 2 inches of conductor to splice onto older servos to make them universal with later Futaba/JR/Spektrum systems. I spliced several onto old Deans style connectors and made enough adapters to set up several RC airplanes using my existing obsolete hardware. I have had no issues so far
