Nice little radio. We use in the house. and we have a rechargeable Eton radio which we love for camping. The only complaints about this device so far are that even with backup batteries, if the device is unplugged it resets the date to 2008? Serious? Can't you fix this error now? Wow. It really sucks to pull out the manual we had to find online and print it out (fine print enough don't you think?) only to reset the date and time. And it MUST be reset or the warnings won't prompt you to do so. Grrrrrrr Reecom, you're bitten for this. We live in Saskatchewan, Canada so we don't get many tornadoes or tsunamis here, but I use it for freeze alerts every day during the growing season. . It's not very good for listening to the radio, but it's normal on a low level, like a kitchen radio. (the Eton rechargeable radio which we also own is the best in my opinion) Having to hear the weather in French before hearing it in English is not a blessing. It's probably a Canadian thing. In general we are satisfied with this radio. Oh, and when there's a strong wind or storm warning, it scares our cats who never grow old. giggle
