I'm new to routing. I read all the instructions, watched a few videos, and practiced on scrap wood before starting my project, but the 1/8" straight cutter still broke almost immediately - I wasn't shooting too much material. My router was installed in a table. I later realized that because this bit is so thin, it probably needs special care and may not be suitable for beginners. I switched to a 1/4" chisel with no problem and then to a Roman wedge. I've noticed that after a relatively small project they aren't as sharp as they used to be. For me as a beginner a very good set. I had everything I needed for my first project.I also love the handy wooden box they come in to keep them organized and they are all nicely labeled with a little picture to show how much cut each bit endures. For a beginner I've found this to be very helpful in choosing a beat for my project. I need to find a replacement for the 1/8" bit I broke but other than that I'm very happy with these bits.. my first project looks very professional i noticed that since i bought this set the price has gone down from $26.92 to $19.95 if i had paid a lower price i would still have this set liked more.If my review was helpful, please let Revain know by clicking Helpful. Many Thanks.
