I cut each section into 2 or 3 pieces depending on where I put them on the floor. I needed something for the house as the three males (a Maltese and a Spitz) were constantly kicking their legs and pissing on the furniture. That way they can't get close enough to the furniture and hurt themselves. I didn't always bandage the stomachs of the males in time so that they wouldn't throw themselves on the furniture. So they train NOT to WALK in those areas. This will make it easier to get them used to going outside.
