touch her! The best, value for money!

, I have purchased additional phones to increase my limit to six phones. This is my initial criticism of the first (set) four: these phones are said by other users to have some silly features like multiple ringtone selections (like cell phones) and lots of menu-driven options; However, I am very impressed with their performance as PHONES. They are completely clean, with no competition on their 1.9GHz "cordless phone exclusive" frequency. The range isn't as good as my old Tropez DSS phone that died years ago but they run at 250mW which seems to be the norm these days. Forget the DSS cordless phones that worked a few blocks away, they're gone. Europe and Australia allow higher RF power output, but it seems the good old USA has stricter FCC RF limits. These phones also have the advantage of requiring 2 AAA Mi-MHs instead of a dedicated battery. This makes it much easier to: [1] swap out batteries, [2] have "spare parts” available in case they run out. Visibility is about 200 feet. When you put walls and/or (especially) aluminum siding in the way, a lot less matters. I have no problem in my 4th level 1400 sq. ft hut, but. These are the best cordless phones except for my 8 year old Tropez who passed away a few years ago. 2.4GHz? Forget it! All wireless connections screwed up, PC, headphones etc. 5.8 GHz? work normally. DECT 6.0 1.9GHz? The way forward!. UPDATE: As of 2-7-1pm there are still 4 working Panasonic phones. ALL's performance has declined over time. I think 6 years is about as long as you can expect from this type of product. In fact, they've historically outlasted some other cordless phone manufacturers. Now I offer 5 VTech 6.0 (1.9GHz) DECT phones along with them on another line. Two observations: [1] V technology is much better (albeit 6 years newer) [2] There is no interaction or interference between two sets of phones on the same frequency. V Tech told me it's not possible (two devices on the same frequency) but the phones of two different brands don't know about each other.
