Review on Weston Pro 2300 Commercial Stainless 65 0201 by Dee Duran

Worst customer service ever!

I bought a Weston Pro-2300 in June 2019. In November, and maybe 100 packs later, he began making mismatched seals. I called customer service to resolve the issue in January when the woman on the phone said the metal heater plate needed to be replaced. I asked how this is possible and if there is a guarantee, but it turns out that this is only a repair part, not a guarantee case. I have not used the sealant commercially, although it is marketed as a commercial product. I use it maybe once a week when doing sous vide and it worked really well until it broke. This prompted me to purchase a new heater strip and heater tape to redo all the recommended parts. As soon as I try to use it again it starts melting holes in my pockets instead of sealing them. I call customer service and get a very rude lady on the other line who speaks condescendingly to me and states that customer service would not advise me to replace the heater tape if it was clearly a foam seal issue blah blah blah. I ask her please not to be condescending to me when I spoke and she tells me that the conversation was with her and she remembers my phone call a month ago?!?! Then she goes on to tell me that due to operating conditions, air quality and more, Weston cannot guarantee anything else. (It hasn't moved from my booth in rural Iowa since purchase). So now I have to buy a new $30 part to replace the foam gasket. Considering the significant price of this machine and its VERY unhelpful and rude customer service, I would consider buying a Food Saver. A Food Saver lasts 10x longer and costs 10x less!
