Review on 💾 Seagate 7200RPM Desktop SATA Hard Drive with Enhanced Cache by Jerome Godwin

I installed this drive in a 2008 24" iMac for about a week. So far the drive has performed great as expected, showing significantly improved performance over the 1TB WD Rotary Drive it replaced. The only thing stopping me from giving this product 5 stars is that it doesn't come with any hardware to install it. in the drive housing. I purchased this product (STCL2000400) specifically because the Revain and Seagates websites describe it as a 'kit' as opposed to the ST2000DX001 which is described as 'drive only'. This assumes that the 'kit' comes with all the appropriate screws, plates, brackets, cables etc to complete a new installation. It doesn't come with any of them. The spec sheet on the Seagates website states that all that is included is the drive, installation guide, and warranty documentation. I think it's worth reading the fine print, but if so I don't see how it differs from the ST2000DX001 "disc only" product. Still a good ride in my opinion, but be aware of the additional parts you may need to order as well.
