They have a great finish (shiny), they are not "sandwiched" (so no seams around the edges) and have a notch at the very bottom in case it needs to be removed to put on to get to the junction box. For those having trouble with recessed sockets or rocker switches, the screws on these sockets/switches serve as an adjustment if you have the base plate to accommodate the depth. If you have a small gap between this new panel and the wall, it could be a junction box or drywall that needs a small repair. Either way, a very clean install and an instant upgrade to your walls at a low cost compared to similar 'branded' panels!
