Yes, it really does work!

My first question was, does it work? I hooked it up using (what used to be) the coax antenna connection to the TV ands picture appears just as good as ever.I needed this because my TV is on one side of the room and my entertainment is on the other. When the house was built 26 years ago HJDMI did not exist and I future proofed (!) the installation by adding S-video and audio cable runs between the two. Fast forward a few years and now I need HDMI. At first just mounted the DVD player and Apple TV by the TV but now want to use my new A/V receiver and feed more sources to the TV. There's n o way to run an HDMI cable so I tried this product. As mentioned I first set it up using RG59 coax, but then experimented with one of the now unused audio connections between the TV and entertainment center (they were wired with small diameter coax from Belden, I forget the specs). Anyway it works just as well with that so it seems any sort of coax can do the job.Bottom line, it solved a problem for me and I'm very happy with the purchase.
