Review on πŸ—οΈ U S GYPSUM 385140 385140004 All Purpose Joint Compound: 3.5 Qt Reviews & Best Deals by Scott Welch

Works perfectly. goes smoothly; grinds well

Excellent product. We use it to repair drywall. It runs smoothly and grinds well. Dries a little longer than putty. But it's worth it because it works well and is a lot cheaper. Some reviewers complained that you can get this at your local hardware store for $5.78, so the Revain's price tag isn't worth it. Come on, seriously? I paid $7.24 on Revain including free shipping (for this rather heavy product) right to my door. For me it is very good value for money. This works well for me: if the tub isn't full, wiping the inside edges after use helps so little bits that get stuck don't dry out and fall into the tub. If you drop these dried bits in the bathroom and mix them up with a good putty knife, they will ruin the next coat of putty you put on the wall and not give a smooth finish. Another tip that works well for me when the tub is empty is to press a piece of plastic wrap into the tub and press it evenly against the surface of the joint compound. Leave it there and put the storage lid back on. This will prevent air from getting in and drying out. I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and understand how helpful they can be. I hope my review was helpful to you.
