It's machine washable, or at least I throw it in the washing machine and it's fine. Neatly sewn, clean seams, high-quality materials. I would say that it is suitable for early spring and late autumn. It's too heavy a fabric for summer and skirts are always too cold for winter, although it's a good thing if you have to wear a skirt in winter. My cats have tried to rip it (and my legs) when they want my attention and I've learned two things from it. The material does not tear easily. Bloodstains stand out on linen.
