The motor is quiet, but there's an annoying jiggling click that I couldn't handle. Trying to set this thing to the desired temperature was a chore. I thought I installed it, but it seems to have had a mind of its own. The instructions don't explain "mode" or that you need to set it to a specific mode to set the temperature. I bought these so that I can not only set the temperature but also monitor the temperature in the room. It just didn't perform like I'm used to from other brands, so it's being put back in the box and sent for recycling. To me it's useless garbage.
