There is nothing better than this fan. As other reviews have said it's very quiet and you don't really hear it running unless it's upstairs and then it's just the sound of air movement. The assembly instructions are well written and easy to understand. They don't refer to the two white house wires in the ceiling, but Dad said just tape up the extra white house wire and Dad will know. Works great with our wall switches. We find the light is bright enough - bright enough to find pieces of cut copper wire that have fallen to the ground (oops). The light doesn't "scatter" very far, it's a soft white light (as stated in the description - 2700K) so maybe that's why some say it's not bright enough. The overall style is fairly modern and we like that the screws holding the blades aren't visible like on older fans. Even the traction chains are superior to the standard quality and look very nice. It can be mounted "back to back", which means it can be mounted without a floor bar, so it is flush with the ceiling. Buy it. You will be happy too.
