Review on Fractal Design Define R5 - ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - High Airflow and Silent Optimized - Includes 2x Dynamix GP-14 140mm Silent Fans - Water-Cooling Ready - Black by Indal Kumar ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

A very considerable amount of time was spent selecting the case. If it weren't for the fact that it can only accommodate video cards up to 295 millimeters in length, I'd buy the Define R4 (it's still a best-seller) (if you do not remove the cells for hard ones). R5 has 310 millimeters. It can appear to be insignificant, but it's not. A recent high-performance video card is only 290 millimeters by 305 millimeters in size. They and the video card will unquestionably be able to be installed in R5 (actually, if it doesn't fit, you may, just like in R4, remove the block for five screws, but in R5 it can be rearranged down next to the bottom one!). In point of fact, I had been holding out for this opportunity in order to do so. Again, this is a huge time saver because the cables can be routed under the motherboard, and another SSD can be attached there (already 2 pieces are possible). Reobas: the first two speeds are completely inaudible; at the third speed, just the sound of air movement can be heard (which, by the way, is a very intriguing sound); nonetheless, the noise produced by the fans themselves is not audible at any speed (bearings, apparently, are normal and not yet worn out). Very quick acceleration of hard disks (through rubber washers). The situation is similar to others in general. If I didn't already have this one, the Cooler Master Silencio 652S would be my choice. Although it seems as though the steel is thicker, the reports indicate that there is still more noise when compared to an open stand. But, there is a door that may be used to remove an SD card. Yet, R5 is more fashionable, has dust protection that is orders of magnitude better, and offers more convenience. Thus, I've decided to go with the Define R5, but that doesn't imply there isn't any other option out there. Take a look at the Cooler Master Silencio if there is something that you don't like.

Pros
  • CLASSY, QUIET, COMFORTABLE, SPACIOUS, CABLE MANAGEMENT, REOBAS+COOLERS, DUSTPROOF, and a DOOR THAT CAN HANG (YAY)!
Cons
  • It is feasible to reach a conclusion regarding the SD cards located upstairs, there is a hole for dust penetration on the rear wall under the top cooler, and the back wall does not have any soundproofing. You are able to solve it on your own, but why couldn't it have been fixed immediately? Expensive. A surplus of. Even so, what can be done, such is the state of the currency currently.
