I bought this product along with Super Shiney Top Coat and Sticky Base Coat to help my manicure last longer, look better and keep my nails healthier. I bought the set right after Thanksgiving and have used it extensively over the holidays for various manicures and polish changes and not only did the manicure hold up better than the typical natural nail manicure, my nails looked great even after removing the nail polish completely I'm just showing mine natural nails. I agree with other users that if I wear this and get a manicure it doesn't get all the benefits of a sticky base coat and doesn't last as long as it normally does. If I get a manicure, I do it with clean dry nails and leave it soak for about a day. Then every day I gently rub a small amount of diesel oil into the edges of the nail bed. When I'm letting my nails heal and not doing a manicure, I use the brush that comes with it and paint my nails and then rub them over the nail bed and cuticles, usually right before bed to avoid washing my hands for a while. It has greatly changed the appearance and health of my natural nails in a short period of time. I'm a children's librarian, so I often wash my hands between working with books and materials, touching children and things they've touched (the germ of the city, especially in the winter when everyone is sick). I've found some great hand creams, but I still have a lot of problems with nail growth and dangling nails. I used to suffer from nail pain and dry cracks along the cuticles no matter how much hand cream I used, especially in winter. Now my nails are less brittle and growing better and my hangnails and cracked cuticles healed in less than two months with this oil. I am very satisfied with the result and will continue to use and recommend this product.
