This design is a significant improvement over the previous (more plastic) generation design. My complaint about this design was that the top shelf didn't have a secure locking mechanism to lock it; Every time you barely kicked the ground or pushed it, it collapsed. This has a positive locking mechanism so when locked it is rigid. In other words, it's stable. The only minor complaint is that the stems are a bit shorter than I'd like, but that's a matter of personal preference. If like me you don't like drying clothes in the dryer and also live in a small apartment or condo, this is perfect for you. Wait. The matching set is perfect for you.
