Bought these to put on a shelf for an edrum kit which I won't be able to use until I move to a larger apartment in a few months. However, I plugged them in to test and did it very carefully and I'm happy with the results. These lights can be controlled either with the supplied remote control or with an app. The remote control is IR so a direct connection to the receiver is required, the app supports bluetooth giving you a bit more flexibility. Both let you set the color, mode, and light level. Lights react to music, which is what I was originally looking for. The control module has a built in microphone and with the app you can use your phone's microphone or even the included music player to control the lights directly from this audio source. The lighting also has a bright, full color spectrum. as a white mode with temperature control and fading. Works great as an accent light. Definitely recommend.
