Seems to work well, easy to read, easy to use. Exactly how, who knows. It reads about a 50 degree difference in the set temperature and thermometer readings. The oven is off or the thermometer is off. The best way I think is to get the exact temperature. It would be to put 3 or 4 thermometers in the oven at a time to give you an idea of how accurate the temperature is and adjust from there.
