I used one of these to develop the SPI driver, it worked fine at first. In the middle of development I was getting strange results from the SD card. After a week of investigation I found that this SD card host had somehow failed and was randomly outputting signals from the host to the card. I can't tell you how scared that caused me. I was actually waiting for the logic analyzer to arrive for further debugging when I decided to switch to a different SD card board. Everything worked immediately. painful, and I can't rate it low enough.
