Great product to start with, very cute and real amiibos. Now for the crash, and it's 100% my fault for not learning amiibos functionality. I'm playing Animal Crossing New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch. Characters cannot become residents of your island if you attempt to invite them through the ATM in Resident Services. But you can invite her to a photo shoot on the island of Harva. I'm not 100% sure how the maps work in game, but from my research they work unless the villager is someone who serves a purpose on your island. I hope this helps but I'm still happy with my purchase because they are so cute!
