Basic label printer with battery only

Apart from one big obvious problem with this printer it is very good value for money. It's relatively easy to use and overall I think it's great for everyday label making around the house. The labels themselves are of good quality, the text is printed nicely and clearly, the glue for the official label tape is good. I use this to create labels to mark which wires go where, making it easy to identify wires on the back of my PC, UPS, surge protector, router, etc. The main complaint I have, which is quite annoying but doesn't really render it useless, is that the machine takes more than the standard disposable 1.5V AA batteries, but you can't plug in the power supply. When I put in new 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (I double checked them for freshness with a battery tester) it always says it's a "low battery" and the display is blurry and sometimes hard to see. It seems to be working fine even when it thinks the battery is low. I've used up a full tape cartridge and there's no way the battery looks low. Therefore, DO NOT USE STANDARD AA BATTERIES WITH THIS DEVICE. Standard AA batteries are typically 1.2V, so if 1.5V disposable batteries barely power the machine I can only assume they won't last long or will not work properly with rechargeable batteries. I also have another small complaint, which is that I wish the machine would allow you to customize the size of the border you have and have the default border slightly smaller. I can understand why other people think the machine is wasting tape.
