Not 12 " (more like 10.25)
later First, their effective length is much smaller, about 10 and a quarter inches zipped. Not enough for what I need. I thought it might just be bad terminology to call it 12 inches, but then I measured the full length of the tie and it's not 12 inches either, more like 11.5. And if you turn the bag over, you will see a drawing indicating that the total length is 12 inches. which is clearly not as shown in my photo.
