Review on πŸŽ™ Enhanced Sony ICD-PX820 Digital Voice Recorder (Black) by Jaime Bustamante

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use; Excellent quality

This is the first voice recorder I have ever used (except for the microphone on my MP3 player) and I have to say I am very happy with this product. I even failed to figure out the settings without a manual - basically I started it initially with a manual in my hands. The instructions are very well written. It covers everything in easy to understand yet clear instructions for each function. The Getting Started section definitely got me started and also excited about how useful this device would be! One of the things I really like is the microphone and headphone jacks. I have a headset with which it worked perfectly. Another thing I like is the shape and design of the device. It fits comfortably in your hand (very ergonomic for both left and right hands) and the record and play buttons are easy to distinguish when you're not looking (record button pressed and play button rounded). A. High microphone sensitivity. , the device picks up sounds from all directions (front, back, side) - paper rustling, fingers snapping, etc. That background noise can be annoying, but Sony has thought of everything! It is possible to reduce frequencies outside the range of the human voice, essentially removing unnecessary noise. The low sensitivity is great for dictating straight into the device and background noise is not picked up. I haven't used the software that came with the device, but I can say that when I connect the device to a computer running Windows 7, the device is recognized immediately. The folder structure is the same as on the device itself (five folders, AE), making it easier to find your recordings. GENERAL: Very good quality, ergonomic device, user-friendly, with well-written manual.
