Use it in that empty drive bay 5.25
The front door is plastic but looks solid. The anti-vibrator mounting scheme seems to work well. Drive alignment works well on several blue WD drives I've tried so far. the lock with key is purely mechanical; it does NOT turn off power to the drive. on the front panel there is an LED under the lock; This LED connects to a cable, maybe 12 inches, and a 2-pin connector for the motherboard or RAID card. Handy for backups; much faster than external USB drives and less expensive if you have multiple 3.5" hard drives.
