Review on Powerful PS 1008 Filter: Enhance Performance for Hyundai, Infiniti, and Subaru by Tom Roberts

I have tried several brands of filters and K&N came out as one of the best or at least in the top 5. For the 2001 Honda Insight we have long life Amsoil filters, Mobil 1 filter, Honda and K&N OEM filters tried. These are the only filters I would trust if the car has been in good condition for a long time. The filter itself is very simple: a solid metal body with a smooth finish. It's not very easy to tighten or loosen due to the smooth surface, but the little knobs on the end help a little. I have always hand tightened oil filters to avoid over tightening. The real problem here was the value of the filter. It was purchased for only 1/3 the cost of a Honda OEM filter or 1/2 the cost of a Mobil 1 filter at current prices (10/2019). I've been shopping and always looking for a K&N, Amsoil or Mobil 1 filter for all my vehicles. There are other good options like Wix and Mahle, but they are not available for most US car makes and models.
