Because some of the dividers in these boxes are removable, one compartment can be opened into two compartments. I love it. They are good for storing earrings. Large earrings are kept wide in two places, while all others fit perfectly in one space. They are easy to store in a drawer where they can be folded. I love that I can see through them to find the pair of earrings I want to use. They also work well for small chain necklaces or silver/gold necklaces
